My journey with ceramics started when I was 12 years old. I fell in love with opportunities it gave me. It felt like magic. I could think of something and then bring it to life, just like in a children’s story about magic pencil that could make anything you draw real.

Since then I took part in many art contests, being awarded with IIIrd place in international contest “What is beautiful around us”. When I was 18 I had my first art exhibition along with 4 other talented friends. I decided to pursue ceramics as my major at the university. I obtained ceramics engineering degree and it gave me insight into technology and processes of modern ceramics production.

I find most of my inspiration in nature but also in the creative process of making. Sometimes I let clay choose it’s form, taking organic, perfectly imperfect forms.

In my art there are many different sides and styles I pursue. My Polish heritage and our traditional, country/farm style mixes with more modern forms, abstract glazes and black clay. I love experimenting with new shapes and finishes.
