Robert Macmillan pottery (RMP) represents the accumulation of over 40 years of pottery making experience and captain ship by the artist and timeless and enduring patterns he uses only a high grade commercial stoneware and porcelain clay body that is mid fired too 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. All RMP is handcrafted in my home base studio in Stratford PE I “the Sandy dunes in borealis designs are both inspired by and represent the Atlantic scenery and colours. “ All his designs are artistically created from glaze formulas that are 100 percent lead free as well as being a 100 percent food safe and microwave safe and oven proof and dishwasher friendly. The use of a local clay body adds an element of natural colouring and keepsake. He digs the clay locally from a secured source and cleans it, slakes it, screen and add stabilizers to adapt it the the main clay body

He is ever cognizant of form and function in his own work as “Made by hand for your hand” is an important aspect in all his pieces much of his current work reflects the beauty of my area that so dominated the Canadian Atlantic scenery
