Helene LaRouche

I am a visual Artist born in Halifax, N. S. from my parents of French Canadian descent.

Having lived coast to coast : Nova Scotia to British Columbia and Prince Edward Island, I am heavily influenced by the sea, and nature.
Much of my work depicts ocean scenes, and oftentimes I am involved with Plein Air Festivals , as I am truly in the moment , living, breathing, feeling, experiencing the true emotion in time , of the colors, the wind, the shadows and light , the sounds, nature with the animals and people surrounding me ,and manifesting all of this to be created in the painting.

I have traveled far and wide to attend these local and International Festivals ; the last few in Curacao,Prince Edward Islands Plein Air Festival , Peggys Cove, NS, Lunenburg Plein Air Festival, NS, and a painting trip to Madeira and Gozo , Malta.

I have worked in many mediums, and for that reason I do not limit myself to only plein air, but also work in my Studio. I also hand paint on silk , with French dyes, and have done so for over forty years . In the last fifteen years I have taken up with acrylics, oils,
enamel, inks, collage, and cold wax amongst many others..... my motto is to keep absorbing, experimenting , and learning!

Every painting is like a story unfolding, where I challenge myself , and am able to share some meaning of my life.
I have donated many pieces of Art for different fundraisers, and charities.

My art can be found at the
Artisans on Main in Montague, Chotto Shop in the Delta Hotel, Charlottetown , Bedford Station Gallery , Tracadie, and Kings Playhouse Gallery in Georgetown,
and at my Studio in Blooming Point- year round by appointment.
My paintings have been sold in Canada, USA, and Europe.
